Uriah Foster, 65, Dies at Home of Daughter.
Uriah Foster, 65, Coshocton Route 5, died at 1:30pm Monday at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Herbert Cupps, Coshocton Route 1, following a stroke of paralysis, which he suffered Sunday. He had been in ill health for the past 18 months.
Born Dec 7, 1870, in Jackson Township, he was a son of Abraham and Eliza Foster. He was united in marriage March 26, 1903 to Iva May Mirise, who survives.
Surviving are four children, Virgil Foster of Pontiac, Michigan, Mrs. Beulah Silverthorn of Newcomerstown route, Paul, of the home, and Mrs. Herbert Cupps, Coshocton Route 1; five grandchildren; two brothers, Samuel Foster, Coshocton Route 1, and David of Coshocton Route 5, and three sisters, Mrs. Accah Valentine, Mrs. Harley Price and Mrs, John Johnson, all of Coshocton Route 1.
He was a member of the Pleasant Hill Baptist church since childhood.
Short services will be held at the home of Mrs. John Johnson, Coshocton Route 1 at 2pm Wednesday, followed by services at 2:30 at the Pleasant Hill Baptist church. Rev. J. O. White, Coshocton Baptist pastor, will officiate, and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Owing to illness in the Foster home, the body may be viewed at the home of Mrs. John Johnson, Coshocton Route 1. Nephews will be pallbearers.
