"Mrs. Elizabeth Buchholz aged 76 years died at the home of her son, William Buchholz in this city Tuesday after being ill nine months with cancer of the abdomen. Funeral services were conducted Friday morning in St. Peter's Cathedral in Belleville and interment in the Walnut Hill Cemetery."

MRS. ELIZABETH BUCHHOLZ
"Mrs. Elizabeth Buchholz, 76 years of age, who until seven months ago lived in this city, died at the home of her son, William G. Buchholz in Breese, at 3:30 o'clock this morning following a lingering illness.

"The deceased was born in Westphalen, Germany, July 7, 1851, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Bruehl and was married in that country to John Buchholz fifty years ago. Her husband preceded her in death twenty-three years ago.

"She is survived by four sons: Peter Buchholz of St. Louis, Fred Buchholz, of Belleville, John and William, twins, the former residing in St. Louis and the latter in Breese. Two sons, Carl and Joseph, preceded their mother to the grave. Thirteen grandchildren also survive.

"She was a member of the Altar Society, the Christian Mothers Sodality and Rosary Confraternity, and the Third Order of St. Francis.

"The body will be brought to the home of Fred Buchholz, 810 East McKinley street at 1 o'clock tomorrow afternoon from where funeral services will be held at 9 o'clock Friday morning to St. Peter's Cathedral. Interment will take place at Walnut Hill Cemetery."
