Maria Zambrano, 88 passed away on August 3, 2011 at her residence in the presence of her loving niece, Rosita (David) Gonzales. She was born on August 24, 1922 in Yorktown, Texas to Nicholas and Flavia De La Rosa.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Gregorio Zambrano,a brother Jose De La Rosa, two sisters, Jovita Jimenez and Margarita Garcia, and a son, Jose.

She is survived by four brothers, Helojio, Elisardo and Silverio De La Rosa all of Michigan, and Nicholas De La Rosa of Del Rio, Texas. Two sisters, Josephina Cantu of Michigan and Solia Hernandez of Dallas, Texas. Numerous nieces & nephews.

Visitation will begin at noon Saturday, August 6, 2011 at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel with a prayer service to be held at 7:00 p.m. that evening. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, August 7, 2011 at the Charlie Marshall Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Prairie View Cemetery. A very special thank you to Mary Marquez of Lexington Place Nursing Home for her loving care shown to Maria. Also to Conchita Martinez, her faithful sister in Christ and prayer partner. And to Samuel & Olivia Estrada for their faithful and devoted attention.
