Homer Pepper, 100, of Laurel died Thursday, Aug. 4, 2011 at his daughter's residence.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Bethlehem Baptist Church with visitation at 9 a.m. until service time at the church. Rev. Cary Kimbrell will officiate. Additional services will be in Winnfield, La. Visitation will be at 1 p.m. Sunday at Southern Funeral Home in Winnfield with a graveside service to follow at 2:30 p.m. at Fellowship Cemetery in Sikes, La.
Mr. Pepper worked as a driller with Exter Drilling Company prior to retirement and was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rush Pepper; two sons, Kenneth Ball of Hattiesburg and Sammy Ball of Laurel; daughter Linda Singley of Hattiesburg; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and one sister Elma Nickleson of Monroe, La.
Memory Chapel of Laurel is in charge of arrangements.
His church had celebrated his 100th birthday on Feb. 1st of this year.
