Fredrick Hamm, son of George and Elizabeth Garman Hamm, moved with his family to Lemars IA about 1882.

He married Jeanette Gralapp about 1903 and their first daughter Elaine was born in IA. They moved to WA state around 1907, where their next daughter, Doris, was born.

Fred farmed and then worked as a stationery engineer at Eastern State Hospital for many years.

He moved to Yakima WA around 1950. Fred lived to be 83 years of age.
