Charles P. Hamm, 73, 2403 W. Fourth street, a Sioux Cityan for 13 years, died Sunday in a hospital after a long illness. He was in the windmill business until retiring about eight years ago.

Born June 6, 1871, at Freeport, Ill., he went to LeMars, Ia., at the age of 11 years. He came to Sioux City about 13 years ago. He married Mary Reinhardt December 3, 1903, at Logan, Ia. He was a member of the Assembly of God church.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Assembly of God church. Rev. D. A. Hastie will officiate. Burial will be in Memorial Park cemetery under direction of the W. Harry Christy funeral home, 711 Myrtle street.

Survivors are the widow, Mary; a daughter, Mrs. Lucille Oxford, Seattle, Wash.; five brothers, George Hamm of Ortonville, Minn., Fred Hamm of Medical Lake, Wash., Harvey Hamm of Des Moines, William Hamm of Akron, Ia., and Seege Hamm of Minneapolis; one sister, Mrs. Susie Keech of Los Angeles, and three grandchildren.
