Emil changed his name prior to 1951, to Emil Yago. His SSN was issued in CA before 1951, as YAGO. His death certificate lists both names.

Emil left home rather early to travel west. He resided in SD for a number of years, and was married & divorced there. He worked as a chef/cook. He then traveled on to CA. Stockton, CA was the City he chose to settle in. He worked in a prison as a Chef most of his stay there. Most of his family realized he married, but he chose to remain secluded from his family for the most part, so no one ever met the woman he married. Her name was Viola D. Wilson, and she owned a Beauty Shop for a number of years, which she ran out of their home on 119 Oak St. Information collected showed that the beauty shop existed in this home before Viola took ownership.

Much of the following was gathered via information in old Stockton city direstory's...which a local volenteer gathered in 1998.

During 1938-1940, Emil was a cook at the Clark Hotel, 114 S. Sutter, Stockton, CA. He resided at 28 S. America, Stockton during this time...which was the Hotel Merrill.

In 1942 & 1943 - He's married and has moved to 119 W Oak, He began work as a business agent for the Culinary and Service Workers, Local 572, Stockton. He did this for 2 years.

In 1956-1958 he's a cook at the Gingham Gal Coffee Shop & Fountain, Stockton...and during 1958 he also works as a Chef at Burgess Enterprises. He and Viola are living separate in 1956.

In 1959 he begins working as a cook with the San Juaquin County Sheriff's Dept. He remain in this position until 1962. In 1964 he was a Supervisor for the County sheriff. In 1965 he was still a Supervisor for the county Sheriff, and also ran Emil's Food Service. in 1966 he was a Food Server for the San Jauquin County Sheriff Dept. In 1867 he was an Asst. Manager with the Sheriff's Dept. And in 1968, an Asst. Food Service Manager for the Co. Sheriff...until his death on 15 June 1968.
