DEATH TAKES ROY AYRES
Former Local Man, Husband of Lillie Biery, Dies Near Muncie
Roy Ayres, aged 57, formerly residing east of Berne, died Friday morning at his home southeast of Muncie, on Middletown rural route.
He had been ill the past year, suffering from Bright's disease. Mr. Ayres was the husband of Lillie Biery, formerly of this community. He was well-known here and several from Berne and community attended the funeral on Sunday.
Mr. Ayres resided east of Berne for many years before moving away. He was a farmer.
Surviving are the widow, one daughter, five sons and a brother.
The funeral was held Sunday at Silver Springs, with burial in a near-by cemetery.
