O. Legate of Fulbright died Tuesday night at the family home after a long illness. Services were conducted by I. F. Parker, minister, Church of Christ of Talco at the church in Fulbright Wednesday with burial in Highland Cemetery at Deport. Surviving besides her husband are two sons: Oscar and Roy Legate; two daughters, Mrs. Leo Ridings and Mrs. Cecil Ward, all of Fulbright; two brothers: J. A. Chesshir, Bogata and L. H. Chesshir, Swink, Okla.; a sister, Mrs. J. W. Legate, Bogata; 8 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild., OBIT: DEPORT TIMES 21 Jul 1949, Thursday, from microfilm in the Clarksville Library: Mrs. R. O. 'Dick' Legate, 75, passed away at her home at Fulbright about 6:45 o'clock Tuesday evening. She had been ill for some time suffering with heart trouble and her condition was critical for the past week. Funeral services was held Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 at Fulbright Church of Christ of which she was a member, and interment was in Highland Cemetery at Deport. R. F. Parker of Talco, minister of the Deport Church of Chirst, assisted by Robert Cook of Paris conducted the services. Surviving besides her husband are two sons and two daughters, Oscar egate, Roy Legate and Mrs. Leo Ridens of Fulbright and Mrs. Cecil Ward of Denison; two brothers, J. A. Chesshire of Bogata, L. H. Chesshire of Swink, Ok., one sister, Mrs. J. W. Legate of Bogata; eight grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Mrs. Legate, the former Miss Tacie Elizabeth Chesshire, child of the late George and Mattie Hale Chesshire was born in Arkansas Nov. 21, 1873. She had resided in Fulbright for many years. Pallbearers were Dave Ramsey, Clyde Mitchell, Oscar Leggett, A. V. Price, Henry Reynolds and Roy Gullin. J. M.
