I knew Leeford & Willie Martin Chesshir well. They lived next door to Lee Herd in a house with a hall all the way through the center of it. The living room and kitchen were on the West side and two bedrooms on the East side. They had a water well, barn and an outhouse in the back. They always raised a large vegetable garden and stored their potatoes in the barn.
