Bernice Tarwater-Kerr was the mother of Charles Nathan Kerr formerly of Lafayette,CA, who now resides in Sonora, Calif. Also the grandmother of James Edward Kerr of Kingman, Arizona and John Wayne Kerr of Cottonwood, Calif. She was the mother-in-law to Jennifer Kerr. Bernice was preceded in death by her mother Eva (Wells) Tarwater and her father Charles Augustus Tarwater. Her grandfather was Gabriel Tarwater and her grandmother Martha Jane (Auberry)Tarwater on her paternal side. Her grandparents on her maternal side were Philip and Margaret(Clark)Wells. Her parents and grandparents were pioneers of the Ygnacio Valley in Clayton and Walnut Creek, CA. She will be missed. Per her request, she was cremated and her ashes scattered over Mt Diablo, near the former family farm bordering Clayton and Walnut Creek, CA.
