JACKSONVILLE NC - Boston Harden Jr., 67, of Jacksonville died July 25, 2011, at Onslow Memorial Hospital.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, 2011, at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Faroy Best officiating. Burial with military honors will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps, received associates degrees in accounting and applied sciences/graphics arts, a Bachelors of Arts degree in teaching and was a member of Phi Theta Kappa Society.

Survivors include his wife, Hattie Mae Hunter Harden of Jacksonville; sons, Dennis Marshall Harden of Charlotte and Joseph Terrell Harden and Andrew G. Roberts, both of Jacksonville; daughters, Regina Denise Leaven of Winterville and Nadine Alise Sharpe-Miranda of Jacksonville; a brother, James Arthur Minor of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and a sister, Rosetta Spencer of Georgia.

Arrangements are by Saunders Funeral Home in Jacksonville.
