SUMPTER - Mrs. Mabel Sumpter, 54, wife of Carl E. Sumpter, died at the home, 6341 Colby Street, at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. Besides her husband, she is survived by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Frederick L. Ford of Lincoln; seven sisters, Miss Bessie Ford, Mrs. Verna Austin, Mrs. Maude Matson and Mrs. Freda Epler of Lincoln, Mrs. Florence Housel of Broken Bow, Nebraska, Mrs. Miriam Ellis of Glen Elder, Kansas and Miss Lucile Ford of Mahoba, India and two brothers, William W. Ford of Almeda, California and Harold H. Ford of Stockton, California. The body is at the Helmsdoerfer Funeral Home, where it will be held until 2 p.m. Thursday. At that time, funeral services will be held at the home.
