Ryland Leo Allgood, 78, of Chase City, passed away on Aug. 2, 2011.
He was born on May 1, 1933 to the late Howard Sydney and Lena Griffin Allgood.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lawson Allgood, two sons, Ricky and Donnie Allgood, four grandchildren, Bryan, Whitney, Aaron, and Maggie Allgood, a devoted sister, Edith Nicholson, brothers, Houston, Meredith, and Butch Allgood, sisters, Christine Matthews, Marie Honeycutt, Joyce Wilson, and Judy Glasscock, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He owned and operated Allgood Store for many years; he was a member of Antioch Baptist Church, and an Army Veteran.
