STONE

BUD STONE, 64, former Altus resident, died Thursday at El Monte, California. Services are set for 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Southside Baptist Church, with the Rev. Don Deall officiating Burial at Altus Cemetery will be under the direction of Tims Funeral Home.

Born Feb. 15, 1913 at Paris, Texas, he was a mechanic, a member of the Baptist Church, and a veteran of World War II. He was also a member of the V.F.W.

He married ELLEN HATHAWAY in 1937 at Hollis, and resided at Altus from 1972 until 1975.

Survivors include his wife of the home at El Monte, California; a son, IRBY, Covina, California; a daughter, JEWELL STONE, El Monte, California; a granddaughter and great-grandson, DEBRA and JEREMY ROBBINS, of the home; three brother, TOM, Conroe, Texas, VICTOR, Altus, ROY, Los Angeles, California; three sisters, ALINE GROVES, Altus, MARY STOUT, Rowland Heights, California, MARGARET DUNCAN, Pomona, California; four grandchildren.
