Manuel Rangel, Sr., 69, of Wauchula, past from this life on July 18, 2011, at the Hospice House in Sebring, after battling leukemia. Manuel was born on June 20, 1942 in Guanajuato, Mexico, to Anastacio Rangel and Maria Rodriguez De Rangel. He had lived in Hardee County more than 35 years. Manuel had worked in the harvesting and grove caring services and because of health issues retired early. He was a very loving and caring father, enjoyed fishing and spending time with his family. He cared deeply for his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He was of the Catholic faith.
He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Manuel Rangel, Jr., and siblings Brijida Rangel Gonzales, Juanquina Rangel Garcia, Agapita Rangel Perez, Juanita Rangel Mireles, Jose Jesus Rangel, Anastacio Je Rangel and Josefina Rangel.
He is survived by, his wife, Paula, son, Michael Edward Rangel and wife Edna, of Bowling Green; daughters Flora Ann Sanchez, and husband Henry "Bo" and Cynthia Nancy Rangel, both of Wauchula; 12 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren; brother Anthonio Rangel of Greeley, Colorado; sisters; Celia Rangel Alonzo and Alicia Rangel of Harlingen, Texas and many nephews, nieces and other family. Manuel was cremated and interred in Las Rucias Memorial Cemetery, Las Rusias, Texas, August 1, 2011. Written by Debbie Rangel, daughter in law.
