NORFOLK - Samuel David Bennett, 87, of the 2500 block of Woolsey St., a retired aviation metalsmith, died July 1, 1987, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
Mr. Bennett, a Pittsylvania County native, was a member of Calvary Presbyterian Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nellie Anthony Bennett; three daughters, Catherine B. Speet of Springfield, Marion B. Williams of Virginia Beach and Peggy B. Craig of Manassas; 11 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in Finch & Finch Funeral Home, Alta Vista, Va. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Alta Vista. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or National Arthritis Foundation. The family will be at the funeral home form 7 to 9 p.m. today.
