DOVER, DEL. - The Air Force Base here reported Friday that Sgt. Kenneth e. Bennett, 36, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Samuel D. Bennett of 2527 Woolsey St., Norfolk, was one of the 10 servicemen killed in a plane crash in Greece this week.
Bennett was the flight engineer aboard a C124 that crashed and burned near Kalavrita, Greece. The plane was attached to the 1607th Air Transport Wing at Dover.
A rescue team which reached the scene of the crash reported "there were no survivors." the crash occurred about 100 miles southeast of Athens.
Air Force officials said the plane carried eight crewmen and two Army passengers.
Bennett's wife, Genevieve, lives in Dover.
