June, 86, of Battle Creek, died Saturday,
at her home. She was the daughter of Edward and Matilda (Winters) Rose.
June attended Lakeview High School and graduated from St. Philip's and Detroit Mercy School of Nursing. She worked at Lakeview General Hospital, Battle Creek Sanitarium and several doctors' offices as a nurse.
June was preceded in death by her husband Berton T. Edwards in 2004; her parents; sister, Ruth Matthews and brother, Edward Rose.
She is survived by her son, Berton "Duke" (Janice) Edwards, Jr. of Battle Creek; daughter, Janice L. (Roger) Mott of Ocala, Florida; four grandchildren; four great granddaughters; nieces Myrna and Ruthann and special friend, Dana Ughetti.
June enjoyed doing crafts and quilting.
Services took place Thursday, August 4, 2011 at the funeral home with The Very Rev. Robert F. Creagan V.F. officiating.
