Abraham Hanes, Sep 1789 to 28 Feb 1867, was the son of Benjamin Hanes and mother unknown. Margaret Boren, Jan 1794 to 26 Apr 1866, was the daughter of John Thomas Boren and Sarah Slider. Abraham and Margaret were married in Beaver County, Pennsylvania in about 1809. To this marriage were born 14 Children: John, Sarah Elizabeth, Hannah, Elizabeth, Margaret Jane, James B., Margaret, Jane, Abigail D., Samuel S., Joseph, Archibald S., Abraham, & William Hanes. Abraham is buried in the Wright Cemetery, Meigs County, Ohio and Margaret is buried in the South Webster Cemetery, South Webster, Ohio.
Abraham & Margaret and family picked up stakes in Beaver County, PA and moved to Meigs County, Ohio. Then they moved to South Webster, Ohio leaving a few of the grown children behind. They bought a farm and afterwards Margaret passed away in 1866. Abraham returned to Meigs County where he passed in 1867.
