Nora was born September 5, 1914 in Brooklyn to Michael and Margaret Namack Hillery. On October 28, 1939, she married James T. Coulter in Brooklyn.
After moving to Lake Carmel, she worked as a teacher's assistant at Carmel High School. Nora loved gardening. She loved her family and was always there for them.
She is survived by her five children, James Coulter of Lake Carmel, Michael Coulter of Beacon, NY, John Coulter of Boca Raton, FL, Maryann Eddy of Poughquag, NY, and Thomas Coulter of Bethel, CT. Also surviving are a brother Andrew Hillery of Babylon, LI, two sisters, Sister Rose Michael of New Hyde Park, NY, and Eileen McGee of Bohemia, LI, nineteen grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She is predeceased by her husband James and sister, Catherine Boehme.
Visiting hours will be held on Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. at Adams-Cordovano Funeral Home. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday at 10:00 a.m. at St. James the Apostle Church.
Interment at Raymond Hill Cemetery, Carmel, NY.
