DIED.

LANG – At the residence of his daughter, Mrs. Max Hoehn, in Sturgis, September 12, 1890, Andrew Lang, aged 76 years, 10 months.
The deceased was a native of Bavaria, and came to America in 1850, locating at Chicago, where he remained for some years. From there he removed to Minnesota and was engaged actively in farming. In 1880, Mr. Lang came to the Hills, and took up his residence in this county, where he lived as an upright, honorable citizen. He always enjoyed good health, until about three months since, when he over exerted himself fighting a timber fire, from the effects of which he never recovered.

Mrs. Hoehn was the only relative of Mr. Lang nearer than Chicago, and that lady has a large number of friends who extend their sympathies.
The funeral took place Saturday morning from the Catholic Church, Rt. Rev. Bishop Marty officiating.
