Son of Alexander Wesley Lambert and Lina Lilly Loften; Father of Conrad Pickett "Coon" Lambert; Husband of Elsie Jane Day. He is buried in Arkansas in an unmarked grave, cemetery unknown.

The following is documentation from Eli's Great Grandson Milton Eugene Lambert:

(Eli moved from AL, to TX, to Ark. where he died, family moved back to TX. Eli moved to Covington County from Monroe County, AL)

In 1877, Eli married Elsie Jane Day (who was born in Green County Ala.) in Cass County, Texas. Eli married in February and my grandfather, Conrad P. Lambert, was born in December of the same year. In 1879, another son was born and they named him Alex Daniel Lambert. Eli's dad was Alex and Elsie Jane's father was Daniel Day. Alex D. died in Arkansas in 1880. This would have to be about the time Eli moved to Little River County, Ark. Also in 1880, Eli and Janie had a daughter born December 27. Her name was Mattie.

Conrad Pickett (1877-1929)
Alex Daniel (1879 – 1880)
Mattie (Dec. 27, 1880)

Eli moved to Arkansas about 1880, lived in Jackson Township, Little River County, Arkansas. In 1883 died of dysentery and buried in Arkansas, no marker, cemetery unknown.

There was a story that Conrad was saying to his mother after her second husband died that she put a marker on his grave, but not on his dad's (Eli). She said he didn't leave her enough money to put a marker. So it is just marked with a rock.

After Eli died (Elsie Jane's father had also died), she, her family (Conrad and Mattie), a brother, and I think her mother, moved back to Texas. A place called Daingerfield which is in Morris County in East Texas. Elsie Jane married John Phillips in 1887 in TX; he already had a family.
