battles: Corinth, Baker Creek, Vicksburg; all the engagements from Chattanooga down to Resaca, then I lost one leg.
wounded: a slight wound at Corinth; a slight wound at Vicksburg; and a leg at Resaca
captured: July 4, 1863 at Vicksburg, MS; paroled July 10, 1863 at Vicksburg, MS
