Ezramae "Maye J." Terry of Vestavia Hills, Ala., passed away on Friday, October 21, 2005, at home after an extended illness.
She is survived by her husband of 62 years, H.B. Terry; four daughters, Pamela, Debra, Sabrina and Felicia; two sons, George and Michael; one brother, William; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ezra and Mary Ella Vallingham Jackson; three brothers, Bethel, George and Brode; and six sisters, Pauline, Sallie, Mary, Katherine, Margaret and Mallye.
She was a graduate of Arlington High School, Ky., and Detroit City College, Mich.
She was a loving wife, beloved mother, a friend and playmate to her children and grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, October 24, 2005, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Currie-Jefferson Funeral Home, Hwy. 150, Hoover, AL. Graveside services will be on Wednesday, October 26, 2005, at 10:30 a.m. at Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell, KY.
At bedside, Maye expressed a desire (in lieu of flowers) for donations to her favorite charity: Hannah Home for Abused Women and Their Children, Attn: Sharon Roach, Director, PO Box 427, Brookwood, AL 35444.
