Jane was the youngest of eight children born to John Edger Lunt and Lydia Jane Kendall Lunt on February 23, 1920 in Nephi, Utah. She claims to have been blessed with the best family and happiest childhood anyone could hope for.
Jane married Bert Scoll on July 3, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska. The following year they moved to Los Angeles, California, where they have resided for more than six decades, except for eighteen months while serving an LDS mission in Cape Town, South Africa. Their marriage was solemnized in the Los Angeles Temple.
Jane is survived by her husband of sixty-seven years, their son, David Scoll (Gayla), Los Angeles, California; daughters Janet Smith (Alex), Sandy, Utah; and Jean Hawkins (Kevin), Orem, Utah; twelve grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Homer Lunt and Boyd Lunt, and sisters Aiden Beagley, Beth Belliston, Ruth Toronto, Marjorie Sainsbury, and Marie, who died in infancy.
Mom leaves us with a great example of a life of service, love, faith, and a wonderful sense of humor. We hope to honor her by following that example.
