Hahira – Mrs. A. L. Amerson, 82, died at her home in Hahira Saturday after a lengthy illness.
She was a life long resident of the Hahira section of Lowndes County and a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Mrs. A. J. Williams of Hahira; four sons, Roscoe Amerson of Valdosta, D.B. Amerson of Hahira, Herbert Amerson of Plant City, Fla. and B.J. Amerson of Montgomery, Ala.; two sisters, Mrs. Mae Pope of Miami, Fla., and Mrs. Annie Bonner of Live Oak, Fla.; 18 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services were to be held today at 3:30 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home here. Burial was to be in Friendship Cemetery near Hahira.
