Over was returning home from bowling when the one car accident occurred. He was employed as a engineer inspector of tunnels and dams for the State of California.
He was a member of the U. S. Army engineers, topographical division, serving overseas in 1952 in the Southwest Pacific and Philippines with National Geological Survey. He was a member of Wadsworth Lodge 385, F & AM.
Over graduated from Rittman High School with the class of 1948, and University of Colorado, Class of 1952 and was a member of Delta Sigma Phi, International.
Surviving are his wife, four children, his mother, Mrs. Hilda Over and a sister Mrs. Robert Caulkins.
Services and burial were in Fremont, Calif.
