Arthur Lee Counts was born September 9, 1917, at Cook Station, Missouri, a son of the late Frank and Phoebe (Faust) Counts and passed away August 26, 1988, at his home in Cuba, Missouri, at the age of 70 years, 11 months and 17 days.
In 1936 Arthur was united in marriage to Eula Eaton and to this union five sons and one daughter were born.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother Jewell Counts; one sister, Bessie Howlett; one daughter-in-law, Mrs. Frank (Darlene) Counts, and two grandsons, Bruce and Jerry Counts.
Those who remain to mourn his passing are his devoted wife of more than 52 years, Eula of the home; one daughter, Willa Mae and husband Everett Williams of Cuba, Missouri; five sons, Earl and wife Erma, of House Springs, Missouri; Lee and wife Mary, Frank, Gary and wife Joyce all of Steelville, Missouri and Tom and wife Priscilla of Tennessee; two great-grandchildren, Jason and Mendi Counts of the home; three sisters, Murriel and husband Fred Pritchett of Doe Run, Missouri; Pearl Edgar of Farmington, Missouri and Jerdie Hartle of Millersville, Missouri; 23 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.

Funeral services were held 2 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 1988, in the Britton Chapel with Rev. Willis Callahan officiating.
Pallbearers were George, John, Ray, Rick and Tommy Counts, and Randy Williams.
Committal prayers and interment were in Keysville Cemetery under the direction of
Britton Bros. Funeral Home, Steelville, Missouri.
