Word was received here Monday of
the death in New York City "that
morning of Mrs. B. F. Austin who
will be well remembered by older residents
of Cooperstown where Mrs.
Austin was very prominent in musical
circles about twenty-five years
ago. At the time of her death, Mrs.
Austin was residing with her daughter,
Mrs. D. F. Kelly. The body was
brought to Cooperstown and funeral
services held at the home of DeWitt
DeLong, 78 Chestnut street, Wednesday
afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev.
E. C. Brown of the Baptist Church
officiated and burial was made in
Lakewood cemetery.
