The death of Mrs. Fannie Estelle
(Austin) Kelly of Tarrytown and
Cooperstown, occurred early Thursday
morning of this week in Tarrytown.
She was the widow of Dr.
David F. Kelly.
A native of Ohio, Mrs. Kelly came
to Cooperstown with her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin F. Austin, as
a young girl. She graduated from
Cooperstown High School with the
class of 1887, and from Wellesley College
in 1895. She was married to Dr.
Kelly in 1896 in Cooperstown. Her
husband was for many years a mathametics
instructor in the New York
school system. The family lived in
Tarrytown, and at their cottage, "The
Little Hermitage," on Otsego Lake
during the summer months.
Mrs. Kelly was a deaconness of
the First Baptist Church of Tarrytown
for many years.
She is survived by a son, Wilford
Kelly of Waterbury, Vt.; three daughters,
the Misses Estelle, Mary Lou
and Ruth Kelly, all of. Tarrytown; and
a grandson, David C. Kelly of Waterbury,
Vt.
Funeral services will be held Saturday
afternoon at 1:30 o'clock at
the Tillapaugh Funeral Home here
with the Rev. Oscar H. Lockett, pastor
of the Springfield Center Baptist
Church officiating. Burial will be in
Lakewood cemetery.
Friends are requested to contribute
to church work rather than to send
flowers.

Dr., and Mrs, David F. Kelly, members
of the Cooperstown summer colony, are
celebrating their fiftieth wedding anniversary
at their home at Tarry town on
Wednesday of this week. Mrs. Kelly
was Miss Fanny Austin, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. B. F. Austin of; Cooperstown.
