Mrs. Pratt Bacon Died Thursday

Mrs. Alma Bacon,85,died Thursday at Tattnall Memorial Hospital in Reidsville after a long illness.

The Liberty County native was a resident of Tattnall County most of her life and a member of Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church near Glennville.

Surviving are her husband, Pratt Bacon of Glennville; a sister, Mrs. Danella Dasher Stubbs of Claxton; and several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Funeral services were held Saturday at 3:30 p.m. at Love's Chapel Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder W.H. Durrence and Elder Tim Lewis. Burial was in Beard's Creek Cemetery.

Active pallbearers were Ed Banks, Ned Banks, Cliff Stubbs and Dan Stubbs.

Honorary pallbearers were Earl Waters, G.L. Durrence, Derrell dasher, Ted Kicklighter, Charlie Strickland, Dane Bazemore, Truman Anderson, Walter Woodrum, Elbert Kicklighter, Vernon Dasher, Jr., and Robert Dubberly.

Rimes Mortuary of Glennville was in charge.
