Louis Heald died Tuesday, January 16, 1900, at the home of his son in law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alford of Forrest. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Heald (son of Louis) of Harlem (Chicago) attended the services. He was born April 25, 1844, in Pennsylvania. He married, at Joliet, IL, Delia Green in 1864. She died June 13, 1889. He came to Chatsworth in 1868 and stayed until his health gave out when he moved to Chicago and made his home with his children. He was the father of 9 children, 8 of whom are still living. His sons include Robert of Chicago; James, Lon, Louis and Charles all of Chatsworth. Daughters -- Mrs. Charles Alford, Forrest; Mrs. Daniel McArthur, Chicago; Miss Blanche Heald, Chatsworth. The funeral services were at the M.E. Church, Rev. L.P. Russell of the Baptist Church officiated. Louis was buried in the Chatsworth cemetery.
