Charlene McDonald, 54, of Huntsville, passed away suddenly Monday, August 9, 1993, at the Scott County Hospital. She was born October 13, 1938, in Scott County. She was the daughter of the late Floyd McDonald and Louise Daugherty McDonald. In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntsville. Survivors include one daughter, Melva Crabtree and husband, Gary, of the Straight Fork community; and one son, Shawn McDonald of Huntsville; her mother, Louise Daugherty McDonald of Huntsville; two grandchildren, Brittney and Ashley Crabtree of Straight Fork; three sisters: Evelyn Caldwell of Gary, Ind., Maxine McDonald of Huntsville, Christine Abney and husband, Leonard, of Orlando, Fla.; four brothers: Raymond Reed and wife, Shirley, of Huntsville, Alvin McDonald of Huntsville, Ala., Allen McDonald and Charles Sexton of Huntsville; a special friend, R. C. Carver of Huntsville; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services for Charlene McDonald will be conducted from the West-Murley Funeral Home Chapel at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 12, with Rev. Larry Sexton officiating. The Testifiers will sing. Burial will be in the Keeton Cemetery. The family was to receive friends at the West-Murley Funeral Home from 9 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, and again Thursday from 8 a.m. until time for services at 2 p.m. West-Murley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
