7/30/1996 Obituary; Suzanne "Sussie" Lanckriet, 99, of Julesburg, died July 30, 1996 in Julesburg. The funeral mass was held Aug. 5 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Julesburg. She was born Jan. 28, 1897 to Anton and Anna (Macht) Klug in Kahler, Russia. She and her family immigrated to the U.S. in December 1912. After living in Baltimore, Md., and Topeka, Kan., the family moved to Sedgwick in the spring of 1917.

She married Edmund Lanckriet July 6, 1918. It was the first marriage recorded at St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Mrs. Lanckriet is survived by a brother, Adam of Julesburg; five daughters, Julia Stretesky and Suzanne Zimmerman, both of Julesburg, Martha Neubauer of Ogallala, Neb., Margaret Jones of Littleton, and Mary Phelan of Big Springs, Neb.; six sons, Henry, Francis, Albert and Donald, all of Julesburg, Clarence of Ogallala, Neb., Fred of Morrill, Neb.; 54 grandchildren, 107 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren and 31 step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund, who died on July 30, 1942, three sons, seven brothers and a sister. Journal-Advocate, Sterling CO, 7/30/1996
