Mrs. Mary A. Ziegler, 91, of 410 Grattan, passed away June 4, 1983 at a Topeka Nursing Home. She was born on March 2, 1892 in Saratof, Russia the daughter of Anton and Mary Ann Klug.
She came to this country at an early age and has lived in Topeka most of her life. She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Christian Mothers. Mrs. Ziegler was a homemaker.
She was married to Peter Ziegler who preceded her in death in December of 1964. She was also predeceased by two sons; Leo Ziegler in January 1980 and Albert Ziegler in February 1982.
She is survived by five sons; Peter Ziegler, Francis Ziegler, Raymond Ziegler, Julian Ziegler, and Kenneth Ziegler all of Topeka, Kansas; four daughters; Mary Ringleman of Denver, Colorado, Lena Ziegler of Topeka, Ramona Anderson of Carmichael, California and Lavonne Ziegler of Wichita, KS; two brothers, Adam Klug of Ovid, Colorado and John Klug of Denver, Colorado; and one sister, Susie Lanckriet of Ovid, Colorado; 21 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ziegler will lie in state at the Brennan Funeral Home on Monday from 2:00 until 9:00 p.m. where the following Rosaries will be recited; Parish Rosary at 7:00 p.m., The Christian Mothers Rosary at 7:15 p.m. and a Knights of Columbus Rosary at 7:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Church. Interment will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
