Adolph Buchholz was born in Michigan, on February 20, 1887, to parents Henry C. and Mary A. Buchholz, both born in Germany.
Adolph was the second child in a family of four known children. His brothers were: Albert, b. 1883; Otto B., b. 1888; and Frederick W., b. 1891.
On Aug 6, 1910, Adolph married Wilhelmina "Minnie" Bruschitzki, born in Michigan (1887-1962). Minnie was a daughter of Julius Bruschitzki (1856-1917), and Ida Amalie Sukkau (1856-1936), both born in West Prussia.
Adolph and Minnie settled in Detroit where Adolph worked in valve assembly. They had seven children: Raymond, Elmer, Arnold, Mildred, Eleanor, Gertrude, and Richard.
Adolph died in 1931, and Minnie remained in Michigan. She died in 1962, and both are buried in Woodmere Cemetery.
