Mr. Beckum was a native Baldwin County but had made his home in Putnam County for many years. He was retired from Rheem and served in the National Guard. He was preceded in death by his father Marshall Thomas Beckum, son Mark S. Farmer and brother Buddy Beckum.
Survivors include his wife Wylene Beckum of Eatonton; children, Jack (Karie) Beckum of Milledgeville, Renee Beckum (Kim) Jeanes of Gordon, and Warren Farmer of Milledgeville; mother, Idaleen Wood Beckum of Milledgeville; brother, Bill Beckum, of Milledgeville; sisters, Joan Jackson of Gordon and Laverne Johnson of Milledgeville. Mr. Beckum is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
