GORDON – Joan Beckum Jackson, 77, of Greenview Ave., passed away Thursday at her residence. Services will be held Sunday October 9, 2016 at 3:00PM in Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home. Burial will be in Ramah Cemetery. Rev. Paul Curry, Jr. and Rev. Maxie Threatt will officiate. Mrs. Jackson was born in Milledgeville the daughter of the late Marshal T. and Elizabeth Idaleen Wood Beckum. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Marshal T. Beckum, Jr., and Clifford Owen Beckum. Joan’s first job was with Goldsteins Dept. Store located in downtown Milledgeville. Mrs. Jackson was a retired Nurse with Dr. Luis Samper, MD. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Gordon.
