Services Held For Sgt. E. N. Baxter
Perry-Graveside rites were conducted Wednesday at Perry Cemetery for Sgt. Elroy N. Baxter, whose body had been returned from its burial place in the Southern Pacific theater of operations for re-interment in an American cemetery.
Members of the Perry post of the American Legion formed a military escort and served as pallbearers. They were Harvey Poulson, Dewey Bitts, George Brack, Burton Fovargue, Donald Brainard and Frank Fovargue.
The Rev. Robert Weber, pastor of the Perry Christian Church and the Rev. Frances Square, pastor of Perry Baptist Church, officiated at the rites.
