Rosary will be at 7:30 p.m. today in Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. A second service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the church. Burial will be in Dumas Cemetery by Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mr. De La Rosa was born May 15, 1922, in Saltillo, Mexico. He had been a Dumas resident since 1966. He was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church of Dumas.
He was engaged in farming. He married Virginia Gutierrez on Nov. 8, 1958, in Tahoka.
He was preceded in death by his wife on April 21, 1995; a son, Rojelio De La Rosa; two brothers; and three sisters.
Survivors include four sons, Raymond De La Rosa of Amarillo, Abel De La Rosa and Ricky De La Rosa, both of Dumas, and Ruben De La Rosa of Georgetown; a daughter, Rosa Ramirez of Dalhart; a brother, Sabino De La Rosa of Dallas; two sisters, Juana Buendia of Houston and Isidra De La Rosa of Matamoros, Mexico; 18 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
