LAKE LILLIAN — Wallace Anderson, 77, of Lake Lillian died Sunday at Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home in Willmar.

The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at United Lutheran Church in Lake Lillian with the Rev. Marlaine Doidge officiating. Burial will be in Svea Lutheran Cemetery at Svea.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at K-M Funeral Home in Lake Lillian and for one hour prior to the service at the church.

Wallace Edward Anderson was born July 31, 1933, on the family farm in East Lake Lillian Township to Edward and Freda (Julson) Anderson. He grew up on the farm and attended school at Lake Lillian.

Wallace married Joyceann Christianson on July 10, 1954, at Svea Lutheran Church and they were blessed with three children. In 1960, they purchased their farm southwest of Lake Lillian where he farmed and resided until recently when he became a resident of the Bethesda Pleasant View Nursing Home. Wallace had been a member of the sheriff's posse, United Lutheran Church Council and, for the past 38 years, was a board member of the K-M Funeral Home. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, horseback riding, bowling, snowmobiling and traveling.

Wallace is survived by his wife, Joyceann Anderson of Willmar; his three children, Jolene (and Brent) Garberich of Atwater, Rick Anderson of Lake Lillian, and JoEllen (and Tim) Rosendahl of Clara City; his grandchildren, James Anderson, Todd Anderson, Shaun (and Sarah) Remmel, Crystal Garberich, Nick Rosendahl and Mitch Rosendahl; his great-grandchildren, Ethan and Mia Remmel and Hannah Gomez; his sister, Lois Petersen Manthei of Fresno, Calif.; and his brother, Bernard (and Verna) Anderson of Lake Lillian.
