HEART ILLNESS FATAL TO JOHN HIDY
The Service Held Here Yesterday Afternoon.
John Franklin Hidy, a resident of Centralia from 1925 to 1940, in Seneca the past two years, passed away at the County Convalescent Home, Friday, February 27th at 9:10 a.m. after several years illness with heart trouble. Mr.Hidy was 54 years of age, last February 14th. He was born at Barrett, Kansas, the son of Mr. and Mrs. W. M. Hidy. His father is deceased. His mother still lives in Barrett. He was married August 10th, 1907 to Martha Alkaire, at Haddam, Kansas. His second marriage was on October 6, 1924 at Madison, Kansas to Beulah Hartsel. The children surviving are: Ike Hidy , Seneca; Mrs. Nell Fairchild, Barrett; Mrs. Bessie Welch, Frankfort; John Hidy, Hillsboro, Mo.; and Albert LaVerne and Orpha of the home. He also leaves a brother, Arlie Hidy, Barrett; three sisters: Mrs. Della Aretrune, Barrett; Mrs. Nellie Lockus, Barrett and Mrs. Edna Massey, Parsons. The services were held Sunday afternoon, March 1st, at the Lauer Funeral Home conducted by Rev. Charles A. Richard.
The pallbearers were Charles Tate, John McGreevy, Gordon Tate, Harry Myers, Joe Malone and dell Holland.
Burial was in the Seneca cemetery.
