Mrs. Frances McGregor Gillespie, 83, of Springfield died Monday at Memorial Medical Center. She was born Aug. 4, 1905, in Pontiac, the daughter of Ellis and Mary Thompson McGregor. Her husband, Louis F., died in 1971; and a grandson also preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gillespie was a member of First Presbyterian Church; co-founder of the Town Hall entertainment and lecture series in Springfield; and past president of the Family Service Center.
Surviving are two sons, George B. and Robert E., both of Springfield; one daughter Mrs. Mary G. Baker of Laguna, Calif.; and 10 grandchildren.
