Emily LaMere, 78, of Billings, formerly of Great Falls, passed away Sunday, April 21, 2002, surrounded by family at her home in Billings. Emily was born on Feb. 13, 1924, in Beaver Creek, Mont.

Emily married George Falcon in 1940. They later divorced. She then married Thomas LaMere in 1958.

Emily loved being with her family, being a mother and grandmother. She enjoyed playing bingo and traveling.

Emily was a chambermaid, cook, nurses aid, community volunteer, personal care attendant, besides being a full-time mother to all her children. Her home was always open to everyone.

She is survived by her children, Charlotte LaMere, Ray LaMere, Carol LaMere, Annette Hoffman, Victoria LaMere and Gail LaMere, all of Billings, Curtis Falcon, Alfred Falcon, Susie Gross, Peggy Morsette, Eddie Falcon, Ann Geaudry, Tinker Belgarde, all of Great Falls, and Jack Striker of Rocky Boy; stepsons, Jerry, Pete and Ronny LaMere of Butte; her sister, Darlene of Kalispell; her brothers, Joey of Shelby, Henry of Idaho and Alvin of California.

Emily has gone to become a guardian angel for 13 children; 34 grandchildren; 54 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by both of her husbands; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; three sisters and two brothers.

We will miss her dearly. She was our gift from God and her inspiration will be with us always.

A vigil service will be 7 p.m. Thursday, April 25, at Croxford & Sons Mortuary in Great Falls. The funeral mass will be 10 a.m. Friday, April 26, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. The rite of committal will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Great Falls.
