1906, the son of the late Hess Karr Meredith and Alma Stinnett Meredith. He departed this life, April 24, 1994 after having lived 88 years,2 months and 26 days.
Turley was united in marriage to the late Oma Mae Anderson, June 13, 1923. She preceded him in death, March 2, 1991. To the union of Turley and Oma Meredith, 2 children were born. A daughter, Agnes Vincent, preceded him in death August 6, 1991. He was also preceded in death by 2 grandchildren. He is survived by one son, Ford W. Meredith of Bee Spring, 4 grandchildren also survive, Terry and Phillip Meredith, Lisa Price and Sharon Meredith, along with 6 great grandchildren and many friends who will always remember Turley's life.
While some seek fame and fortune and there are those who strive to climb high mountains of success, Turley Meredith chose the lowly station of a farmer and a neighbor to the people of the Jock and Bee Spring communities. An able man in prayer, Turley lived his life in dedication to his family and friends. Many who have passed our way died richer than Turley in worldly goods, yet in my understanding, the richest man of all is he who dies, a child of God. For eternity is forever and our days here few and fleeting, and Turley Meredith chose the straight and narrow way and today our loss here is Heaven's gain.
