SHREVEPORT – Services for Mr. John Bell, 78, of Shreveport will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday June 16, at Wellman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Alfred Bell officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. Monday until service time Tuesday.
Mr. Bell died Friday June 12, 1987, following a short illness. A native of Montgomery, La., he had been a lifetime resident of Shreveport. He was a retired carpenter, a Veteran of World War II, a Baptist affiliate and a member of the American Legion, Cedar Grove B[r]anch.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Evelyn Bell of Shreveport; two brothers, Woodard Bell of Waskom, Texas and Alfred Bell of Texas; one sister, Virginia Weed of Shreveport and a number of nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Pallbearers: Gary Prudhomme, Steve Prudhomme, John L. Prudhomme, Ralph Southern, Randy Procell, David Ortego.
