FORT WORTH - Samuel Cervantes, 60, a law officer with Tarrant County Junior College, died Tuesday at a Fort Worth hospital.

Funeral: 2 p.m. Thursday at Laurel Land Funeral Home of Fort Worth.

Burial: Laurel Land Memorial Park.

Rosary: 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Samuel Cervantes was born Aug. 29, 1935, in Cuero.

He was a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church and was a retired Air Force technical sergeant.

Mr. Cervantes was active with the Tarrant County Crime Stoppers.

Survivors: Wife, Vera Cervantes of Fort Worth; sons, Samuel Cervantes Jr. and Robert Cervantes, both of Fort Worth, Richard Cervantes of Trophy Club and Mark Cervantes of Denver; daughter, Gigi Cervantes of El Paso; brothers, Tony Cervantes of Shreveport, La., Manuel Cervantes of Irving and Rick Cervantes of Arlington; sisters, Delia Gonzales of Cuero and Bertha Cervantes of Victoria; and five grandchildren.
