Mrs. Sinnott, aged 77, passes after long illiness at Randalia, Sept, 17 - Obituary of Mrs. Patrick Sinnott: Margaret Slattery was born in County Clare, Ireland in 1840. At the close of the Civil war she came to Masonville, Iowa, and kept house for her brother until she married Patrick Sinnott in 1868. They moved to the farm in north Center township thirty-five years ago. Six children were born to them. One daughter is deceased. The living are William and Patrick of Bluffs, Elizabeth of Stockton, Calif., and Michael, with whom she made her home, and who was a kind and faithful son, most devoted in the care of his mother. Mrs. Sinnott died from heart trouble. All the children were with her at the time of her death. John came from Council Bluffs the last of July, and Elizabeth as soon as she learned of her mother's serious illness. Her death was caused by heart trouble. Her husband preceded her in September 1896. Funeral services were held from the Roman Catholic church at Fayette Monday by Rev. Fr. Roney of West Union, solemn high mass being sung by the West Union choir. The body was laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery.
