TOCCOA, Ga. -- Annie Laverne Sayer Beasley, 82, of 6654 Pine Villa Drive, died Saturday, Nov. 15, 2003 at her residence.

Born in Franklin County, she lived most of her life in Stephens County. She was retired from Coats & Clark with 35 years of service. She was a member of Carnes Creek Baptist Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher for over 40 years and was a member of the church choir.

She was the founder and in charge of the Tape ministry of the church, a member and former director of the WMU, a member and secretary of the Topfthline Club of the church. She was member and former secretary of NARFE. She was a member of the Singing Saints Choir in Toccoa, the Toccoa Woman's Club and the Toccoa-Stephens County Historical Society.

Surviving are daughter, Cheryl Nolen of Toccoa; son, Michael Beasley of Danville, Va.; sisters, Gwendola Geis of Colorado and Sally Campbell of Florida; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

She was the widow of Albert Beasley and the daughter of the late J.H. "Bub" and Vivian Cole Sayer. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Wanda Kesler.

Services are at 11 a.m. Monday at Carnes Creek Baptist Church by the Rev. Dr. Tim Miller; burial will be in the Toccoa City Cemetery.

The family will be at the home and received friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday.

Flowers are optional and memorials may be made to the Benevolent Fund of Carnes Creek Baptist Church, 6986 Carnes Creek Road, Toccoa, Ga. 30577.
